Raker Lakes is situated just south of KINGFISHER LAKES This 6.5 acre specimen carp lake was stocked with 220 Simmo fish in 2000. Approximately 70 of these are now between 20 and 30lbs, with four differentfish having been caught over the 30lb mark. The lake record is 31lbs 8oz caught in May 2006 from peg 12, with the record common being 30lbs 8oz. The two larger and six smaller islands provide good holding areas for each of the16 pegs. The average depth is five feet with shelves around all the islands andbars. Gullies and holes are also present. Most of the fish fall to good qualityboilies or pellets fished anywhere, from tight to the islands back to open water. The gates are locked on a night with CCTV in operation. Rigs will be checked on a regular basis to ensure they are both barbless and safe. |
